When salaries and allowances haven’t been finalized under the new constitution, government cars are being used against the law.

In the amended constitution the salaries and allowances of the ministers have not been decided upon and this matter is now in high court, one more thing the people of this small nation are worried about. The biggest of their concerns are about what they see, the ministers still using their government given cars, even when their salaries and allowances haven’t been finalized on.

This yet again proves the disability of Gayoom as president and Aishath Azima Shakoor as his attorney general.

When the people’s special majilis drafted and amended the now constitution, attorney general Azima had played an important role in directing it. She was one who played a significant and important role in all the amendments. And every one would have heard that also in the last phases of amending the constitution, Azima had been the head of comities and done so much work and due to this work the ratification of the constitution even had to face some delays.

But in all these phases and during all these work had not she ever considered about the salaries and allowances of the ministers; had she not have seen this coming? The members of the comities had arranged their meetings in some resort as well, for more efficiency. So was it some ‘water’ Azima mistakenly had from this resorts that made her completely forget about ministers salaries and allowances. If Azima had been in her full senses then, maybe she would have seen this loop hole and we would have to see the case in high court.

So it is compulsory that the drinks and waters these members of the comities and Azima had from the resort be checked and investigated by the high court, before further progress of the case.
